Le Conseil des bibliothèques postsecondaires de l'Atlantique (CBPA) est heureux d’annoncer les lauréats des subventions de développement AtlanticOER de cette année. Ces subventions fournissent un soutien financier aux éducateurs des établissements d’enseignement postsecondaire financés par les fonds publics dans la région de l’Atlantique grâce à la création et à l’adaptation de nouvelles RÉL. Grâce au financement des quatre gouvernements provinciaux de la région de l’Atlantique, les bénéficiaires de cette année créent et adaptent de nouveaux projets emballants qui offrent un contenu diversifié et local aux étudiants de la région de l’Atlantique, lequel sera gratuit et accessible.

Ami Goulden, Memorial University of Newfoundland

Niveau : Création de matériel auxiliaire 

Projet : Le module sur l’intégrité académique pour les étudiants de premier cycle en travail social est une série de modules d’apprentissage asynchrones conçus pour enseigner aux étudiants en travail social de l’Université Memorial des compétences clés liées à l’intégrité scolaire. Les modules souligneront la relation entre l’intégrité scolaire et les pratiques éthiques en travail social, fournissant aux étudiants du matériel d’apprentissage adapté à leurs besoins uniques.  

Erin Mazerolle, St. Francis Xavier University

Niveau : Adaptation

Project: This project is a collaboration between educators at St. Francis Xavier and Dalhousie University, and seeks to update the textbook Open Neuroscience Initiative. The goal of this project is to highlight the intersections between neuroscience and diverse, intersecting identities. The newly updated text will explore how prejudice, systemic bias, and discrimination impact all aspects of neuroscience, from research design to application. 

Elvira Pusaczyk, St. Francis Xavier University

Niveau : Adaptation 

Project: The goal of this project is to adapt the open textbook, Principles of Social Psychology, to integrate Indigenous perspectives and content. The newly added content will integrate Indigenous ways of knowing, cultural concepts, and research conducted by Indigenous psychologists. The project also aims to integrate non-North American scholarship and to highlight contributions to the field of psychology from women, non binary, BIPOC, and 2SLGBTQIA+ psychologists. 

Felix Odartey-Wellington, Cape Breton University

Project: This project will consolidate and adapt several open educational resources focused on public speaking to create a unified, openly licensed resource for the Cape Breton University course Introduction to Public Communication. S’appuyant sur la longue tradition d’excellence en communication vocale de Cape Breton University, le projet intégrera du matériel didactique élaboré par le laboratoire de communication Mary A. Lynch, un des sites emblématiques de l’université pour la formation en communication expérientielle. Ce matériel appuiera les activités de laboratoire pratiques dirigées par des pairs animateurs formés, améliorera l’accessibilité et garantira des expériences d’apprentissage uniformes et de grande qualité dans toutes les sections du cours. 

Gerald Tembrevilla, Mount Saint Vincent University

Niveau : Création d’une nouvelle RÉL

Project: This project aims to create sign language-supported climate change learning materials for teacher education. The materials will be grounded in relevant, local contexts for Atlantic Canada, focusing on marine and agricultural contexts in the region. A Deaf education specialist and sign language expert, together with the project team’s STEM and teacher education expertise, will help ensure the project is accessible, relevant, and pedagogically strong. 

Nina Bernard-Tran, Nova Scotia Community College

Niveau : Création d’une nouvelle RÉL

Project: This project aims to create an OER for the Deaf Interpreter program at NSCC. The resource will integrate content that is relevant to all 14 courses in the program, and include embedded interactive activities such as quizzes and knowledge checks to support student engagement and active learning. 

Terra Tailleur, University King's College

Niveau : Création de matériel auxiliaire 

Project: This project will provide profiles on approximately ten different local news organizations, all using a variety of platforms, to support journalism students in their education. The goal of this multimedia resource is to help provide students with a deeper understanding of the news ecosystem in Canada, especially the Atlantic region.
